Plano West High School

In late August of 2023, Plano West High School, one of the largest high schools in North Texas, experienced HVAC system failures during prolonged extreme temperatures. This prompted the school of more than 2,700 juniors and seniors to close campus.

With an urgent need to resume classes, Plano ISD worked with an HVAC rental company and Clifford Power to provide a temporary solution.

This 800 kW mobile generator provided power to run a temporary HVAC system for two weeks while contractors worked to repair the permanent HVAC system. This allowed their campus to resume classes and remain open until repairs were complete.
