Public Service Company of Oklahoma

With over 500,000 electric customers in Oklahoma, Public Service Company of Oklahoma (PSO) needed to increase the standby power capacity at their corporate headquarters facility to provide total building backup.

Their existing Generac 600 kW generator was configured as a stand-alone generator system and was not equipped for paralleled expansion. Instead of replacing their existing generator system, Clifford Power converted the existing generator and transfer switch to allow integrated paralleling and then added a 600 kW generator to the system to provide a total capacity of 1,200 kW.

With this MPS (Modular Power System) conversion, their generator system increased to a 2 x 600 kW while keeping their existing generator and transfer switch in place.
